![]() ![]() I felt like an artist at Burgerim in Estero. The ketchup-banning "Mad Chef" is long gone, but his recipes remain and the Schusters have done a fine job remastering them. That aforementioned charcuterie board (I didn't really eat it all, just a whole lot of it.) came from the new owners of Mad Fresh Bistro. Patrick and Nathalie Schuster took over the south Fort Myers restaurant in May. If brunch includes drag-queen karaoke, for example, do the calories count? And if a brewery can't allow dogs, will its beers still make your tail wag?īrace yourselves. ![]() This week our food writers and I had all kinds of deep, foodist thoughts. Again I feel that the quality and the amount for each type whether it is a full size burger or from the Duo and Trio menu options (which these options allow you the opportunity to try more than one type of beef) is reasonable compared to the immediate regret of going to other fast food chains with their thin burgers and large buns to fill you up, respectfully.Better yet: If a huge charcuterie board comes to the table and your dining companions are late, does anyone hear you moan after you fall over in a gluttonous blackout? What I also like is that they give you choices. The service was really good as the young lady that is there is very polite and extremely patient while also approachable to answer all of our billion questions even when we warn her that we may just make things complicated. They have Netflix playing on their flat screens so instead of watching the same mind-blinding things like everywhere else, perhaps watching The Office while eating your burger will make your day extremely epic. Their milkshakes are not bad as the cookies and cream was a welcoming dessert. It's a really nice location though I do hope that their popularity would grow in time especially when they serve beer from the tap or in glass/can which is a nice touch. They were just right, as Goldilocks would say. I personally enjoyed the onion rings because they were perfectly hot and fresh but also they weren't overly greasy or soggy. Their fries are delicious and can be made with different toppings like the Cajun seasoning or even the delicious garlic aioli and parmesan. The large patty burgers with their toppings are indeed enough to use both hands to handle it. The meat is tender and juicy and for the price that they have I would have to say is more than reasonable. I also tried the lamb burger from my husband and I have to say, that is one of the best lamb I've ever eaten. They also allow you to customize your toppings to add what you want to make the burger your own style and tastes. The Merguez has a delicious kick of spices with the Spanish beef focusing another notch of that and if you pair them off with the Caliente style toppings, which they offer four types of signature toppings to pair with your choice of meat, then you know that your stomach is going to be happy with hotness. but my recommendation enters into trying the Merguez beef, Spanish beef and the Wagyu beef. They have the signature and traditional beef. ![]() I was very glad to have skipped breakfast because I needed room for the amazing burgers that they offer. Me and my husband wanted to give this restaurant a try especially since we did not eat any breakfast.
